Site Checklist curriculum

The SEO & AEO syllabus

A fixed curriculum for brochure and local business WordPress sites — the work every healthy site should cover once, then keep honest on a maintenance rhythm. It is the same checklist you see inside SAEO Pro.

75 tasks · updated 2026-07-22

What this is

Most SEO plugins hand you a wall of warnings. The syllabus is different: a shared set of foundations and recurring checks aimed at the sites that actually pay freelancers and agencies — home, services, about, contact, a handful of location or service-area pages — not publishers chasing ten thousand keywords.

Inside SAEO it appears as the Site Checklist. Each item here has the same coaching the plugin shows when you open More information: what the task is, why it matters for a real business site, and what completing it will do.

Syllabus vs Growth Plan

The syllabus is the durable curriculum — technical basics, on-page hygiene, local presence, answer-ready pages, measurement. Finish the once-off foundations; revisit the recurring checks each period.

The Growth Plan is the custom monthly layer on top: Strategy Meetings, prioritized work orders, and “avoid” notes for this business this month. Use the syllabus so the site is sound; use the Growth Plan so the month has a plan you can defend on a client call.

Who it is for

  • Site owners who want to know what “good enough SEO” looks like without becoming a full-time specialist.
  • Freelancers and agencies who need a shared language with clients — not forty orange warnings to translate every Monday.
  • Prospects evaluating SAEO who want to see the coaching depth before installing the plugin.

How to use these pages

Browse by pillar below, or open a task from the checklist drawer in WordPress. Utility pages (privacy, checkout, thank-you) are not the focus — coaching targets money pages and the journeys that win work.

Once-off foundations

Finish these once unless the site or business changes materially. They build the base search and answer engines can trust.
